Philippa is our wonderful acupuncturist who has a valuable special interest in women’s health including fertility (for men too!) pregnancy, menopausal symptoms and menstrual issues.
As well as helping with all things female, Philippa has good success treating migraines, headaches and generalised muscle and joint pain, often using massage techniques in her treatments. The relaxing and uplifting effects of acupuncture, felt by many people, can be focused upon to help people who are struggling with anxiety and low mood.
Philippa has a bioscience background and approaches acupuncture and health with a combination of both Eastern holistic and Western scientific thinking. She frequently incorporates diet and lifestyle advice alongside acupuncture, as they are such fundamental foundations of good health.

Philippa is a full member of the British Acupuncture Council. She began practicing acupuncture in 1997 after graduating from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading and has since gained a Diploma in Tui Na (pronounced twee nah ) massage. A previous degree in Microbiology, Physiology and Biochemistry provides a critical science background.
Philippa has worked in a variety of private and NHS settings - GP surgeries, natural health clinics, sports clubs and the Gateway, an award-winning specialist NHS acupuncture clinic. Philippa specialies in working with women's health, fertility issues, pregnancy and post natal care and acupuncture with IVF treatment. Her skills are kept up to date with regular internships, advanced courses and workshops with leading experts in their fields, covering Chinese and Japanese acupuncture, gynaecology and fertility, tui na massage and sports and remedial acupuncture.
